Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is one-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the attached paper template and should be in the range of 4000-7000 words. The page number and information of the author should not be included. In addition, a title page with the main title and information about the author should be added. If the submitted article was presented as a paper, a footnote should be added to the title. 

Page Layout of The Article: The main text should be typed in 11-point fonts and aligned with Times New Roman characters (1 line spacing/ 6nk). Paragraphs should be intended. There should be only 1 space between headings and not between paragraphs. The authors are responsible for their article references.

Authors: Information such as the author’s name, and the institution should not be added to the text. Check that the information you use when registering to the article system is correct. Every issue can include up to two articles by the same author.

The Main Title of The Article: The main title should be in sentence order and 16 points font. Turkish manuscripts should have the main title also in English. It is recommended that the title be selected to cover the subject and not be too long.

Abstract: The abstract should consist of at least 150 and mostly 200 words with 9 pts. The abstract should include information about the purpose, scope, method, and results.

Keywords: Each keyword must begin with a capital letter and be separated by a comma (min 3, max 5 keywords).

Extended Abstract: The extended abstract should consist of min. 750 max. 1000 words with 9 pts. The extended abstract should include introduction, purpose and scope, method, findings and conclusion.

Footnote: The footnote is specified in the text, appears on the corresponding page, and its 8 pts, single line spacing.

The Sections of the Article: The article should consist of the Introduction section (with subtitles if necessary) including the literature, MethodFindings, and Conclusion section.

Figures/Tables: It should be Figure or Table and numbered consecutively by adding it to the relevant part in the text (10 pts, 1 space lining, centered). Links should be added to the Figure References (below the references by specifying the access date. 

In-text Citation: In-text citation information is used in parentheses the author's last name, year of the publication, and page number. Example: (Surname, 2019: 10).

If the source with two authors, both surnames of the authors should be written by using "and". Example: (Surname1 and Surname2, 2019: 10).

If the source with three or more authors, the first author's surname should be written and the other (ao.) Example: (Surname ao., 2019: 10).

If there is no access to the primary source, the second source should be specified. Example: (Surname cited by primary source surname, 2019: 10).

The quotations longer than three lines should be written in italics with 10 pts and a single space.

References: References must be made in accordance with the style of APA 7. 

Journal article: Surname, N. (2019). Name of the Article. Journal Name. Volume(Issue), 23-36. DOI as a link.

Book: Surname, N. (2019). Name of the Book. Publisher name.

Thesis: Surname, N. (2019). Name of the thesis [Doctorate/Master Thesis, University Name]. 

Research and Publication Ethics

Ethics committee approval must be obtained for studies that require ethics committee approval in studies conducted since 2020, this approval must be stated and documented in the article. In research requiring ethics committee approval, information about permission (name of the committee, date, and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article.

  • All kinds of research carried out with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from the participants by using survey, interview, focus group work, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
  • The use of humans and animals (including material/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
  • Clinical studies on humans,
  • Animal studies,
  • Retrospective studies in accordance with the personal data protection law.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
